In order to streamline and enhance the collection of laboratory
data, BioPharm Systems has developed Accel-NLV, which consists of
two programs that complement Oracle Clinical and Remote Data
Capture (RDC).
Accel-NLV allows for:
- Quick and efficient use of the "normalized" modeling technique
(also known as NORMLAB2 or LPARM/LVALUE) for collecting laboratory
data in Oracle Clinical and RDC. Accel-NLV can create extract views
for data collection modules (DCMs) in the LPARM/LVALUE format
directly from the menu in Oracle Clinical.
- Laboratory reference ranges to be entered and referenced for
results that are character strings (e.g., POSITIVE) or contain
numeric results modified by a non-numeric character (e.g., >50
or 3-5). It can also convert normal laboratory values to an
organization's standard units - this can be done for linear and
absolute/differential conversions. Accel-NLV can be used for data
that is modeled in either the conventional or "normalized"
model.
Accel-NLV comes with user documentation and its own validation
suite.
