Software as a Service (SaaS) allows clients to pay for application licensing and maintenance costs over the life of the hosting contract, at a discount, as opposed to a lump sum during software procurement. Hosting fees are also incorporation. Implementation costs are paid upon completion of the implementation. The client can still select from dedicated and shared hosting environment options. Licenses are rented in this option.
